Partial After Pictures

The floors finally made it in and they look great. Whole new house! Can't wait to post the final product...but we're probably months away from that. In the meantime check out the shiny new floors.

The living room with our new couches.

The dining room with furniture.

The kitchen, partially.

Renovations

As promised a few renovations photos. It took 3 weeks for our wood to acclimate to the subfloor, leaving us living in dust and chaos for a while. We made it through however...

The dining room before we ripped out the carpet...

The living room all ready to be destroyed.
The bathroom vanity in the guest room. Look closely and you'll see blue swirls throughout the vanity top. That had to go...
The guest bath ready for some serious TLC.
The living room, down to the subfloor.

The upstairs carpet ripped out. Goodbye burgundy.
The hallway down to the subfloor. If you look closely you can see the painstaking millions of staples that had to be yanked out of the floor one by one and the glue drizzled throughout. Thank you Walt for your impeccable timing for a visit...we needed the help.
The dining room. Yes that's the fridge, right where it belongs.
The living room and our acclimating wood.
The kitchen, after ripping up a laminate floor, 2 layers of different linoleum floors, then a layer of plywood...

The aftermath of what we ripped up.
The living room with hopeful tools that ended up staying in our house for weeks as we waited.
The stairs without the burgundy.
The bathroom making progress. We changed the floors, ripped out the vanity and added some paint. After a gardening lesson from my mom, Mikey couldn't help himself.

Our New House!!!!

My how life has changed. Last time we wrote on this blog, we were describing moments of an epic journey. Now we're posting pictures of a house in Williamsport, PA. Yikes! So here it is! Hopefully we close on it next week. Envision a few changes, however. The living, dining, kitchen and half bath will have all hard wood. The bedrooms/office upstairs will all have new, neutral carpet colors. And the walls need some new paint. Here's the before. Just wait for the after ;)
